Project Objectives:
. develop and strengthen cultural relationships between the two countries
. improve profile and recognition of women's art and processes
. enhance existing art business and education links between the two countries
. demonstrate capacity for art to bridge language and cultural differences
The artists were invited by the Government of the City of Hangzhou, China to present an exhibition at the Hangzhou Academy of Art, as part of the 'Westlake Expo' from 25 October to 3 November, 2002. Whilst in China, the artists also exhibited at Dong Hua University, Shanghai and gave presentations at the Chinese Academy of Fine Art in Hangzhou and Shaoxing University.
The project continues with an Australian exhibition tour in 2003 and 2004 travelling from Melbourne to Sydney and Townsville.
